How well do you remember your life?
Flashbackz is trivia about your own life, generated from your camera roll. It reads your iPhone photo library, works out which photos are actually memories rather than screenshots and receipts, and shows you two of them: the one you have already seen, and a new one. Did the new one happen before or after? Keep answering for as long as you can. Everything happens on the phone — no account, no backend, no upload, no analytics.

How it works
- Give it read access to your photos. Flashbackz reads dates and metadata and looks at the pixels on the device with Apple's Vision framework. It cannot write to your library, and it never uploads anything.
- It finds the memories. Screenshots, receipts, documents, memes, photographed screens and blank frames are filtered out. What is left has to prove it is worth remembering — judged partly by the photographs around it in time.
- Play the chain. Two photos: the one you have already seen and a new one. Before, or after? Get it right and the new one becomes the anchor for the next question. One endless streak, and one permanent rule.
Privacy
Your photographs are read on the device, analysed on the device, and never leave it. There is no account system, no backend, no telemetry endpoint and no analytics SDK. Flashbackz shows an occasional full-screen ad through Google AdMob — never during a run, never on the first four runs of a new install — and those ads are non-personalised, with regional consent handled by Google's User Messaging Platform. No photograph, and nothing derived from a photograph, ever reaches the advertising code.
